Fitting your two panels to the Campa-tracka V3

Please take extreme caution when drilling your panels for the tracker.
Always place a small block of wood or lead or anything under the edge of the frame and on top of
the back of your panel. You don't need a 6mm drill through your hard-won panels.
A block about 100mm long by 30mm wide and roughly 8mm thick should fit between the lip of the panel frame and the panel to protect it if you suddenly burst through the frame with your drill.
Panel frames are usually hardened aluminium to stop panels flexing, so go easy and you'll be safe. If you use the wood block as told.

WHAT IF I HAVE TWO PANELS OF A DIFFERENT WIDTH AND OR LENGTH? No Worries if you find their combined centre. See Below

Acuator and Micro Switches
Though I no longer use Micro switches as standard, due to the actuators having their own cut-out switch, some prefer to use them as seen below.
Micro switches can be fitted as an option if you want them, simply ask ok.

Tracker Sensores

When you first setup the tracker out bush, its a good habbit to use the set of jump wires provided to set the tracker at midday possition. This makes it easier for mounting the panels, but also when you conect the sensors it is a good possition for the senors to find the sun. no matter what time of day it is.
You must always have your tracker pointing North and MUST mount your tracker sensors at the top eastern corner of the eastern side panel.

You need the sensors LEDs pointing at the sun. You may need to have the sensor box on a slight angle to your panel if you wish to get realy tight with keeping the panel pointed at the sun. but this makes little differance overal. I usually just set my black box slightly tilted west of the panel. Again, it makes little differance to the panels output.

When setting up each time you use the Tracker, you must run the tracker to full east then west to make sure the sensor switch in the actuator and the micro switch cut off at the right time. Use the supplied set of jumpers. You are also supplied with a second micro switch if you prefer it to the actuator cut out switch. Though I've had no problems with the actuator switch itself, it does get the panels close to the left leg before cutting power.
The panels I test the assembly with are 1150 mm wide, and there's room for panels totaling 1350 wide. It is pre drilled to suit two 60-watt solar watt panels. And you are supplied with the required bolts and nuts also with wing nuts for easy assembly and dismantling; after the initial set-up.
AS ALWAYS, Tie the darn thing down with tent ropes if windy conditions are about
