General operating instructions for "AxeTracka" Solar Sensors.

Please NOTE; The AxeTracka Sensor control is a single axis sensor. It will track from east to west and auto park at night, and has a 4 minute reverse inhibit on the east only.
I am making these strictly with camper use in mind, and they are not meant for use on permanent tracking stations where a dual axis is required.
They are Strictly 12 volts operating power and are polarity sensitive.
Being a programmed Micro Chip sensor, the internal components are susceptible to electrostatic shock. So never open the box and or touch the PCB with bare hands. If you wish to play with the micro chips program simply advise me when you are purchasing the Axetracka and I will gladly supply you with a copy of my program if required.
But remember, if you play, through the warranty away.

See Image Below
Always have your campatracka and panels facing North. Mount your sensor unit to the top most eastern corner of your solar panels. The higher up they are the better.
Always check to make sure your panels cannot hit the legs of the CampaTracka assembly before connecting the battery. You may or may not need to adjust your Micro switches. Use the small jump wires provided to check by running your Tracker from full east to full west.
Once satisfied that alls well with your panels safety, mount the control box and connect the sensor wires to the actuator.

Generally, leaving the wires to hang freely is the safest thing to do, but always check to be sure the wires cannot become entangled by the actuator.
Connect the battery.

Depending on where your panels are facing, and the position of the Sun, your tracker may or may not move the instant you connect the power.
Say your panels are facing north "midday" when you assemble it all, but the sun is at about 10 or 11a.m, the Tracker will not move instantly to the east. Remember always that it has a 4 minute delay for easterly travel. If you are not sure what its doing, simply look at the tiny red LED indicator on the box. If the led is on, then the sensor is waiting and will move to the east to catch the sun when 4 minutes have expired. When the red LED is on, NEVER press the east parking button. Just leave it to do its own thing.
If you need to force the tracker back to East at anytime, simply cover the LED Sensors with one hand, count to 10, then press the red button switch. I strongly recommend covering the LED sensors simply because you may actually force the Micro Chip to try do two things at once. And this can leed to problems, so ALWAYS remember to cover the LEDs prior to pushing the manualtrack East button.

If the Sun is West of your panels, it should move west to find the sun almost instantly. There is only a 200 millisecond delay on west.
Never wave your hand over the LED sensors to see if its working. Doing so can force the sensors to the full west axis. If this happens and its a clear sunny day, simply walk away and will it come back to the suns position after the 4 minute delay is over.

If left alone the sensors will work as programmed.
Never allow the kids to play around Your CampaTracka. Make it a "NO GO" Area for inquisitive children of all ages.
Also, keep in mind that even the light coming from your campfire may or may not activate the sensors at night. If this or anything else like a gas light etc causes the tracker to move at night, about all you can do is disconnect the power until morning. But do NOT disconnect the power until after the tracker has parked itself back to the full east position. If you do this you can still force it back to east in the morning simply by covering the leds then press the east manualtrack button.
I am constantly searching for the best LEDs to use for the sensors, so chances are yours may or may not have red LEDs as sensors.
